Oregon Game Notes: Washington
03/02/18 | Men's Basketball
The Ducks and Huskies will be playing for Pac-12 Tournament seeding on the final day of the regular season. With a win Saturday at Washington (1:30 p.m., Pac-12 Networks), Oregon could move up to the No. 5 seed (combined with a UCLA loss to USC). With a loss, the Ducks will be locked into the No. 7 seed.
THE STARTING FIVE
• 1 – The Washington State game on Thursday marked the seventh time this season that the Ducks have lost by single digits. Three of those seven losses have come in the last five games.
• 2 – Oregon needs one more win for its eighth 20-win season in a row. The Ducks would match Arizona for the longest streak of consecutive 20-win seasons in the Pac-12, and would also be one of just 13 teams nationally with at least eight consecutive 20-win seasons.
• 3 – Oregon has clinched its eighth straight winning season. It is the first time in 86 years that the Ducks have recorded eight winning seasons in a row (10 straight from 1923-32).
• 4 – Oregon has also established the program record for wins over an eight-season span (206).
• 5 – Dana Altman is one of six active head coaches in NCAA Division I who have posted a winning record for the last 21 consecutive seasons (the other five are in the Hall of Fame).
• BENCH – During Dana Altman's eight-year tenure at Oregon, the Ducks have the second-best record in the league during the second half of Pac-12 play. Only Arizona's 53-18 record over that span is better than Oregon's 50-21 mark.
