
Lombardi Announces Fall Softball Schedule

EUGENE, Ore. - Melyssa Lombardi released Oregon softball's 2018 fall schedule on Friday as she prepares for her first season as the Ducks' head coach.
The Ducks will play eight fall games across five dates in October at Jane Sanders Stadium. All eight fall games will be open and free for fans.
Oregon will begin its fall schedule on Saturday, October 6, with a double-header against College of the Siskiyous (2:30 p.m. PT) and Western Oregon (5 p.m.), before playing Concordia University-Portland in a 10-inning game on Sunday, October 7 (1 p.m.).
The Ducks will play another 10-inning game the following Sunday, October 14, at 2 p.m. against Corban University. Portland State (6:15 p.m.) and Southern Oregon (8:30 p.m.) will face Oregon in The Jane on Friday, October 19, and the Ducks will wrap their fall schedule with a double-header against the Oregon Institute of Technology (1 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.) on Sunday, October 21.
UO enters its first season under Lombardi after reaching the Women's College World Series and winning the Pac-12 for the fifth time in six years last spring. The Ducks return a trio of ace pitchers in Megan Kleist, Miranda Elish and Maggie Balint, as well as veteran position players Shannon Rhodes, Alexis Mack, Haley Cruse, Mia Camuso and Mary Iakopo. Oregon also brought in a six-player freshmen class that was ranked No. 4 in the nation.
