Julia Eshet, Shweta Sangwan and Daniela Nasser all recorded wins in their pre-qualifying matches at the ITA All-American Championships on Saturday
Malibu, Calif – Julia Eshet, Shweta Sangwan and Daniela Nasser kicked off the Ducks' fall schedule with dominating performances at the ITA All-American Championships on Saturday.
How It Happened: Eshet and Sangwan entered pre-qualifiers ranked as the No. 4 doubles pair in the draw, and their opening performance proved why. The pair took down Kalani Soli and Rebekah Anderson from Liberty University in a commanding win, 8-2.
Shortly after Eshet and Sangwan's victory, Nasser took the court and kept the momentum for the Ducks going. In her first match of the day, Nasser defeated the No. 2 singles seed, Florida State's Petra Hule, in a three-set thriller, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
Nasser followed her outstanding performance by prevailing in the second round of pre-qualifiers later that evening. From the get-go, Nasser took control of the match against Holly Hutchinson of Old Dominion, and won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
