EUGENE, Ore. – Defending champion Emmanuel Coste beat a pair of Pac-12 opponents Sunday and has advanced to the semifinal round of the ITA Northwest Regional. Joshua Charlton and Ty Gentry also won their quarterfinal match to secure a spot in the last four of the doubles draw.

In his first of two matches, Coste played Neel Rajesh of tournament host Stanford and came away with a straight-set win. The Oregon junior continued his run with a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(2) victory over Kent Hunter of California. The result marked Coste's third three-set win of the weekend. Charlton and Gentry posted an 8-6 win over Hunter and Jacob Brumm of Cal, a No. 5-8 seed.

Regional champions and finalists will earn a spot at the ITA National Fall Championships (Nov. 6-10) in Newport Beach, Calif. In addition to Coste winning last year's regional singles title, Charlton teamed with former UO standout Thomas Laurent to win the doubles crown.

All semifinal matches for both singles and doubles are Monday. The doubles championship match is also scheduled for Monday at approximately 12:30 p.m. (PT).

In consolation play, Brandon Lam and Giorgio Soemarno picked up their second wins in as many days. Lam was also back on the doubles court with Luke Vandecasteele in an 8-7(4) win over Gonzaga.
