Ducks Cap Road Action at No. 14 USC

The Oregon lacrosse team ended its away slate for the 2019 season with a 16-0 loss to No. 14 USC at McAllister Field on Sunday afternoon.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Coming off its best Pac-12 performance of the season in a double-overtime loss to Arizona State two days before, the Oregon women's lacrosse team ended its away slate with a 16-0 shutout to No. 14 USC on Sunday afternoon at McAlister Field.
How It Happened: Southern California gained a 7-0 advantage over the Ducks in the first half. Freshman goalkeeper Rachel Hall held out 13 saves against USC's 29 shots in the first period. Meanwhile, the Ducks' five shots were blocked by the Trojans' four saves.
USC earned a 50 percent shot percentage with nine goals on 18 shots in the second half for the final score of 16-0. Hall reached double-digits saves for the 10th time this season with 17 saves against the Trojans, after recording four more saves in the second period.
The Ducks attempted to score in the second half with eight shots, while outperforming USC 10-8 in the groundball grab and matching the Trojans in turnovers, 7-7.
Notables: Hall wrapped up the weekend with a total of 188 career saves… Freshmen Jamie Level and Lily Shalz led the Ducks with three groundballs each… Junior Gracyn Elliott nabbed two of Oregon's four draw controls.
