Ducks Host Cal, No. 18 Stanford in Busy Pac-12 Weekend

The Oregon lacrosse team welcomes Cal and No. 18 Stanford this weekend for a pair of Pac-12 rematches at Pape Field.
EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon returns home for a double Pac-12 opponent weekend at Pape Field. The Ducks open up against Cal on Friday at 5 p.m., before hosting No. 18 Stanford on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Both games mark a rematch for Oregon after falling to both teams earlier this season, but the Ducks still have a winning all-time record of 13-9 over California.
GOLDEN GOALIE
Goalkeeper Rachel Hall has captured national attention with her performance in the net this season. The freshman leads the nation in saves and saves per game with 188 saves through 14 games for an average of 13.43 saves per game. Her 188 saves also register as Oregon's new program record for saves in a single season, surpassing Brittany Read's previous record of 179 saves last season.
Hall also broke Oregon's single-game saves record for the second time this season with 20 stops against Ohio State on March 30, replacing her previous record of 19 saves at California on March 8. Oregon's previous single-game saves record holder was Anna Poponyak with 18 saves vs. Virginia Tech on April 11, 2009.
WILLIAMS ON THE ATTACK
Senior attacker Shannon Williams leads the Ducks offensively this season with 51 points on 30 goals and 21 assists. In the Pac-12 Conference, Williams ranks second in assists per game with a 1.62 average and stands at third in points per game with an average of 3.92.
The senior captain also became Oregon's all-time leader in points and goals this season. Williams broke Shannon Propst's record for career points (219 points; 2011-14) with her 220th point at California on March 8. Williams broke Jana Drummond's record for career goals (146 goals; 2009-12) the following week with her 147th goal vs. Southern California on March 17. She also holds UO's all-time program records in points per game (3.69) and goals per game (2.34) and set two single-season records with 74 points in 2018 and 4.24 points per game in 2017.
LEACH AND LEVELED
Attacker Carlie Leach and midfielder Jamie Level join Hall on the list of freshmen making a difference for the Oregon lacrosse squad. The freshmen duo has combined for 41 points and 33 goals this season and follow senior SHANNON WILLIAMS as Oregon's second and third-highest scorers this season. Leach has scored 21 points on 18 goals and three assists, while Level has registered 20 points on 15 goals and five assists.
Level recorded an individual season-high for the Ducks last weekend with five goals in Oregon's double-overtime loss at Arizona State. The freshman midfielder also leads Oregon on the draw this season with 44 draw controls that rank fifth in the Pac-12. Meanwhile, Leach's shot percentage of 54.5 percent stands at fifth in the conference.
IMPACTFUL PLAYERS
Sophomore Lillian Stump has also played an important role on the Ducks' offense this season since with 14 goals through 11 games since returning from injury. Stump matched Level with five goals in Oregon's double-overtime loss to Arizona State on April 5 and has registered multiple goal in three other games this season.
Meanwhile, senior Madeline Reece has played an important role on the Ducks' defense. Reece leads the Ducks with 27 grounds balls and 13 caused turnovers and follows Level with 33 draw controls this season. She ranks eighth in the Pac-12 for draw controls and ground balls and stands at ninth in caused turnovers.
