EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men's tennis team opens its February slate with a pair of home matches beginning Saturday against Santa Clara. The Ducks own a 4-2 record through the first three weeks of their dual campaign.

Last Time Out
Oregon capped its ITA Kickoff Weekend with a 4-0 victory over South Alabama in College Station, Texas. The doubles point came down to a top-30 matchup on court one where Ty Gentry and Joshua Charlton beat the No. 30 pair of Clement Marzol and Loic Cloes. The Ducks clinched the match with wins by Riki Oshima, Luke Vandecasteele and Brandon Lam at No. 3, 4 and 6 singles, respectively.
Double Digits
Through three weekends of the dual season, sophomore Joshua Charlton is one of three Ducks with 10 or more wins dating back to tournament play in the fall. Charlton is 14-5 overall and has won four of five during dual play. Junior transfer Brandon Lam and freshman Jesper Klöv-Nilsson have registered 11 and 10 wins, respectively. Freshman Luke Vandecasteele is 9-7 entering the weekend.
About Santa Clara
The Broncos enter Saturday's match with a 1-3 record, having posted their first win of the dual season last weekend in a 4-3 victory over UC Santa Barbara. Santa Clara features the No. 52-ranked doubles team of Vasileios Iliopoulos and Arthur Neuhaus. The two teams last played in 2018, a 5-2 win for the Ducks that saw Ty Gentry and Riki Oshima post wins at No. 5 and 6 singles, respectively.
About Drake
The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 1-5 record; will play Alabama on Friday. Drake's lone win of the year came in its season opener, a 4-3 triumph over Western Michigan. Drake has won the doubles point in three of its last four matches. Last season in Des Moines, Iowa, the Ducks picked up a 6-1 road win over Drake.
Career Movement
With wins against Georgia Tech and South Alabama last weekend during the ITA Kick-Off event, senior Ty Gentry pushed his career total to 66 doubles victories. That figures moves him into sole possession of eighth place on the UO career list. Gentry and sophomore Joshua Charlton carry an 11-3 record into the home weekend, and are the No. 8-ranked duo in the country.

Schyllander enters the weekend one shy of 250 career victories.
