Felder, Diaz Spark Comeback Win

HOUSTON – Facing a deficit for the first time this season, No. 21 Oregon showed some resiliency in a 4-2 comeback win at Houston to improve to 6-0 Friday. Mya Felder delivered the go-ahead two-run homer in the fifth inning, while Samaria Diaz shut down the Cougars over 4.2 innings of relief to earn the win.
How it Happened: After Vallery Wong led off the fifth inning with a walk and advanced to second on a Shaye Bowden sacrifice bunt, Felder crushed a 2-0 pitch out to left center to give the Ducks the lead. UO threatened to add more after Jasmine Sievers followed with a single, but a controversial call on a flyout to center field that resulted in a double play ended the inning.
Ariel Carlson added a key insurance run in the sixth inning, coming through with a two-out RBI double to right that scored Terra McGowan and made it 4-2. From there, Diaz shut the door with a four-pitch inning and a scoreless seventh after recording three up, three down innings in the fourth and fifth innings as well.
For the sixth straight game to start the year, the Ducks (6-0) got on the board first. After Haley Cruse doubled to open the game and Allee Bunker followed with a single, Terra McGowan scored Cruse from third with a sacrifice fly to make it 1-0.
Houston (4-2) answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead. Charese Wyatt tied things up with an RBI double, scoring Rock Benavides who led off the frame with a double. After a couple of hit
