Ducks have a victorious weekend, defeating both Idaho and Maryland at home.
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon's strong weekend performance led to a 6-1 win over Maryland on Sunday to remain undefeated at home.
How it Happened:
The Ducks battled hard in doubles and ultimately came out on top to claim the doubles point. The duo of Rifanty Kahfiani and Paiton Wagner finished first with a 6-3 victory and the duo of Uxia Martinez Moral and Myah Petchey soon followed to earn the Oregon point with a 6-2 win.
Julia Eshet had a dominant weekend and finished singles first, winning 6-1, 6-1 to give the Ducks a 2-0 lead over the Terrapins. Uxia Martinez Moral and Paiton Wagner were the next victorious Ducks, securing the match win for Oregon.
Oregon continued putting points on the board. Myah Petchey defeated Saya Usui (UMD) 6-2, 6-3. Lillian Mould showed resilience throughout the day coming back from 4-6 set one loss, to win her match 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-3).
