Nuneviller Sweeps Pac-12 Offensive, Defensive Weekly Honors

SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon junior outside hitter Brooke Nuneviller was named both the Pac-12 Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week Monday. She is the first player ever to earn both weekly honors in the 10 seasons that the conference has awarded an offensive and defensive player of the week.
Nuneviller turned in two stellar all-around performances in a pair of straight-set wins over Arizona this weekend. She averaged 4.17 kills and 4.67 digs per set while hitting .380 over the two matches, posting double-doubles and leading the team in kills and digs both times out.
In Friday's win over the Wildcats, Nuneviller recorded 14 kills and 16 digs while hitting a career-high .464 with one error in 28 attempts. She was the first Oregon player since Lindsey Vander Weide in 2017 to tally at least 10 kills and 15 digs while hitting over .450 in a match. She recorded six kills each in the second and third sets while hitting over .400 with double-figure kills for the first time in her career.
On Sunday, Nuneviller posted her seventh double-double of the season through eight matches, while leading the team with 11 kills and 12 digs while hitting .273. She had a big second set, recording six kills on eight swings with five digs to help the Ducks roll to a 25-13 win in the game.
The Chandler, Ariz. native has turned another incredible all-around performance so far this season, currently the only player in the conference averaging at least 2.50 kills and 3.50 digs per set. Nuneviller is averaging 2.88 kills and 3.63 digs per set and is also the only player in the a Pac-12 to be leading their team in both those categories.
