EUGENE, Ore. – After leading the Oregon attack to major improvement in 2022, Caitlin Prince has been promoted to associate head coach, Chelsea Hoffmann announced on Monday.
"We are excited to promote Caitlin to Associate Head Coach" Hoffmann said. "She is a skilled teacher who has built strong relationships with our players, which helped our offense improve significantly last season."
In her first season in Eugene, Prince engineered marked growth in Oregon's attack. The Ducks' offense improved by nearly two goals per game while also dishing out one more assist per game than they did in 2021. Oregon scored double-digit goals in 10 games in 2022 after reaching that mark three times the previous season.
Under Prince's guidance, Oregon's attack featured seven double-digit goal scorers for the first time since 2017. Two players (Shonly Wallace and Hanna Hilcoff) scored 40+ goals for the first time since 2018. Prince also coached two players to All-Pac-12 honors, the first time two Ducks made the all-league team together since 2019.
"I am grateful for the support received from Chelsea Hoffmann and so proud to be a Duck" Prince said. "I am eager to continue providing a competitive, enhanced student-athlete experience."
