THE DUCKS vs. THE BUFFALOES
Saturday's showdown between Oregon and Colorado will be the 14th all-time meeting between the two programs. The Ducks secured the first win over the Buffaloes in team history with a 14-10 win in the opening round of last season's Pac-12 tournament. Colorado is 3-1 in conference play and 4-5 overall in the 10th year under head coach Ann Elliott Whidden.
OREGON SLOWED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Despite moments of promise, the Ducks were unable to keep up with No. 18 USC in a 14-4 defeat. After UO scored the opening goal, the Trojan offense exploded for two separate 7-0 runs to put the game out of reach. Oregon added two goals in the fourth period to close out the game.
» McCarthy secured her 111th career draw control to move into 10th place in program history in the category.
» Haley Taylor led the Ducks with two points, finishing with a goal and an assist for her fifth multi-point game of the season.
SOPHOMORE SURGE
After losing over 100 goals from last year's offense, Oregon turned to a young core for an attacking boost. The Ducks have found production from a trio of sophomores who have helped facilitate the offense this season.
» Gabby Cleveland is currently second on the team in goals (19) and points (20). The Charlotte, N.C. native secured her first game with five-or-more points with a career high six goals on March 19, against then No. 18 Stanford. Cleveland is second on the Ducks with three hat tricks this season.
» Taylor sits third on the team in points with 18, including second in assists and third in goals with nine in each category. Taylor became just the third Duck and first Oregon player since 2021 to bring home Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors in her first career start on Feb. 26, against Kennesaw State. The Sandy, Utah native finished with her first career hat trick and multi-assist game for five points.
» Lauren Rismani ranks fourth on the team in points (17) and paces the Ducks with 13 assists, the most by an Oregon player in a season since 2019. The Denver native opened the season with six consecutive multi-point games and leads the Ducks with five multi-assist games, including two games with three.
