THE DUCKS vs. THE BUFFALOES
Oregon wraps up the 2023 regular season with a trip to Boulder to take on Colorado. The season's first meeting saw the Buffaloes score two goals in the final three minutes to force overtime and eventually win 15-14 at Papé Field. Gabby Cleveland led all Duck goal-scorers with five.
DUCKS SLOWED AGAINST STANFORD
Oregon looked to capture the Cardinal off guard last Sunday but could not muster the firepower to do so. After evening the game at 1-1 in the first, the Ducks surrendered multiple 4-0 runs throughout the afternoon, losing hold of upset hopes. Oregon fought until the end, scoring three goals in the final five minutes of regulation.
» Lauren Rismani scored multiple goals in consecutive games for the second time this season.
» Sophomore Riley Taylor finished with a goal and an assist in her first start for Oregon.
» Oregon finished with a 16-13 draw control margin over Stanford after a 24-5 discrepancy in the first meeting.
SOPHOMORE SURGE
After losing 110 goals from last year's offense, Oregon turned to a young core for an attacking boost. The Ducks have found production from a trio of sophomores who have helped facilitate the offense.
» Rismani ranks second on the team in points (33) and paces the Ducks with 21 assists, the first Oregon player with 20 assists in a season since Shannon Williams in 2019. The Denver native has eight three-plus point outings, including three games with three or more assists.
» Cleveland is second on the team with 30 goals and third with 31 points. The Charlotte, N.C. native became the third player under head coach Chelsea Hoffmann with two five-goal games in a season, with a career-high six goals on March 19, against then No. 18 Stanford and a five-goal performance on April 1, against Colorado.
» Haley Taylor became just the third Duck and first Oregon player since 2021 to bring home Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors after starting her first career game on Feb. 26, against Kennesaw State. The Sandy, Utah native finished with her first career hat trick and multi-assist game for five points against the Owls.
