
Socks and Pets Among Fall Softball Community Causes

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon softball team will once again embark on a campaign of community causes for all its fall games, beginning this Sunday with a drive to benefit underserved animals when the team plays a doubleheader with Clackamas CC (12:30 p.m.) and Southwestern Oregon CC (3 p.m.) at Jane Sanders Stadium.
Items the team is asking that fans bring for animals include:
All donations will go to Greenhill Humane Society.
Upcoming community themes include the annual Socktober sock drive, a toy drive, a food drive and aid for the unhoused in Lane County.
The Ducks have collected more than 1,000 pairs of socks each of the last two falls. Fans also donated nearly 500 nonperishable food items during the food drive in 2023.
