Men's Tennis Takes Down Washington Rivals

SEATTLE, Wash. - The Oregon men's tennis left Seattle with a 4-2 win over the Washington Huskies on Thursday.
The Ducks gained momentum early in the match, with Quinn Vandecasteele and Matthew Burton defeating Washington's No. 17 ranked doubles team 6-3. Avi Shugar and Lachlan Robertson clinched the doubles point, defeating a Husky pair 6-4 on court three. A one-zero advantage proved key in later in the match.
Vandecasteele and David Cierny dropped the first two singles matches to give UW a quick lead, but Vlad Breazu defeated Han-Chih Lin 6-4, 6-3 to bring the match to 2-2.
The next point came in favor of Oregon after Lenn Luemkemann defeated Jim Hendirkx 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 on court six. On court four, Matthew Burton lost his first set, but came back to bring in the deciding point for Oregon, beating Washington's Nedim Suko 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. Zian Vanderstappen went unfinished on court five.
The Ducks are set to face the Huskies again in Pac-12 play on April 13 in Eugene. The UO men will head to California next weekend to face Stanford and California.
