
Ducks Collect 24 All-America Honors

Oregon's first- and second-team certificates are spread among 18 athletes.
EUGENE, Ore. – Based on performances from last week's NCAA Outdoor Championships, the Oregon track and field team earned 24 All-America honors spread among 18 athletes. The official awards list was announced Monday by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
With three All-America honors, Jadyn Mays pushes her overall career total to 12—5 indoor, 7 outdoor—including 10 first-team selections. NCAA shot put champion Jaida Ross is now a seven-time All-America performer while Katie Clute, Rheinhardt Harrison and Cheyla Scott earn the first All-America certificates of their careers.

First-team honors went to the athletes who finished first through eighth in their event while second-team picks were ninth through 16th overall. Mia Barnett and Tomas Palfrey were honorable mention performers for advancing to the NCAA Championships final site but finishing outside the top 16; both ran the 1500 meters.
