Summer 2025: World Championships qualifier (1500m) in Tokyo … ran a time of 4:09.50 in her opening-round heat … swept the 800 and 1500 titles at the Turkish Championships in August … posted a new 800-meter best of 2:02.64 at her national meet … clocked lifetime best of 4:05.71 for 1500 meters at the Stumptown Twilight, good for second in top section.
2024-25: Indoor – Broke collegiate records in the mile and distance medley relay … NCAA runner-up with the DMR; anchor leg … also finished fourth in the mile and qualified for the 3,000 meters … ran 4:23.46 at the BU Valentine Invitational to eclipse the previous record of 4:24.64 set in 2023 by Kately Tuohy (NC State) … also bettered her own Turkiye national record for the mile … anchored DMR to collegiate-record time of 10:42.05 at the BU Terrier Challenge … teamed with Julia Nielsen, Moriah Oliveira and Mia Barnett to surpass the old record of 10:43.39 set by Washington in 2024 … Big Ten champion at 5,000 meters with an indoor best of 15:56.81 … set school record of 8:46.33 for 3,000 meters at the BU Colyear-Danville Opener in December … tallied a then-mile best of 4:27.84 at the Razorback Invite, two weeks before the collegiate-record performance. Outdoor – Fourth place at the NCAA Championships in the 1500 meters (4:09.75) … ran 4:06.61 at the NCAA West First Round meet in College Station, Texas, to qualify for the national meet … Big Ten champion in the 5,000 meters … was also the 1500 runner-up at the conference meet … set the collegiate record in the outdoor mile with time of 4:25.50 at Drake Relays … replaced long-standing mark of 4:29.04 run in 1987 by Angela Chalmers (NAU) … won the 800 at the Oregon Team Invitational in 2:03.11, also good for a new lifetime best.
Summer 2024: Finished fourth in the 1500 (4:14.33) at the Turkish Championships in late June.
2023-24: Indoor – NCAA Championships qualifier (mile) … anchored DMR to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships; moved team from 10th to fifth with 4:31.41 leg … team of Ayyildiz, Mia Barnett, Ella Clayton and Ella Nelson combined for a time of 10:57.24 … finished 11th in the prelims of the mile (4:36.21) approximately two hours prior … became the No. 2 UO performer in the mile with a time of 4:30.38 at the Eagle Elite meet in Boston; finished just behind teammate Klaudia Kazimierska … third-fastest time in program history over 3,000 meters with 8:54.19 showing at the UW Last Chance in late February…first cracked the UO top 10 in the 3K at the Eagle Elite with a time of 8:56.60 … ran times of 2:05.92 at 800 meters—indoor PB—and 4:34.79 in the mile at the Razorback Invitational, first meet at Oregon. Outdoor – NCAA Championships qualifier (5,000 meters) … Pac-12 Championships runner-up (1500 meters) … threatened the UO school record in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:15.84 at the Bryan Clay Invitational, good for second in program history … finished sixth in the Bryan Clay field and second among collegians … two weeks later, clocked a lifetime best of 4:09.34 for 1500 meters at the Drake Relays and finished third overall; entered the meet with a PB of 4:10.52 from the previous week at the Oregon Relays … moved to No. 8 on the UO all-time list with performance at Drake … second at the conference meet (4:17.15) to lead a 2-5-6 finish for the UO women in the 1500 meters … finished ninth, just one spot out of scoring, in the 5,000 meters at the Pac-12 Championships in Boulder … was 12th in the 5K at the West First Round meet to secure the final NCAA qualifying spot … finished in 16th place with a time of 15:47.85 at the NCAA Championships in Eugene.
Before Oregon: Broke three individual school records during freshman campaign at South Carolina including times of 4:12.11 at 1500 meters, 4:32.14 in the mile and 9:10.54 over 3,000 meters…SEC champion in the 1500 meters (4:17.67); first South Carolina woman to win a conference title in the event…runner-up at the NCAA East Preliminary in school-record performance to qualify for the NCAA Championships…also anchored the 4x800 and distance-medley relays to school records during Penn Relays…runner-up at the SEC Indoor Championship in the mile, resetting the SC record for a third time during the indoor season; also posted times of 4:32.74 and 4:36.33 in back-to-back weeks…earned All-SEC First Team and All-Southeast Region honors, finishing seventh and 11th, respectively during 2023 cross country season…established lifetime bests of 2:03.54 (800m) and 4:10.59 (1500m) in June 2022.
