Ducks Travel to Purdue, Indiana

Spring Break finds No. 18/16 Oregon visiting the Midwest with stops in Indiana (West Lafayette, Bloomington) and Illinois (Rosemont). The 11-day, seven-game excursion starts at Purdue (Friday-Sunday) and Indiana (Monday), before heading up to Chicagoland and Northwestern the following weekend. The Ducks swept Penn State last weekend and have won 14 of their last 15 games. Oregon and Purdue have played seven times previously, but haven't met since 2012. The Ducks lead the series, 6-1. Oregon swept Indiana last season to take a 3-2 series edge. This year's meeting is a nonconference game..

GREIN, MILHORN THROW COMPLETE GAMES VS. PENN STATE
Lyndsey Grein and Maddie Milhorn threw back-to-back complete games versus Penn State last weekend. Grein tossed a two-hitter while striking out 12 in an 8-2 win in game one, while Milhorn allowed one run on three hits in the Ducks' 10-1 run-rule win in game two.

Elon Butler has 30 RBI over the last 15 games. She's hitting .542 (26-48) with nine doubles and six home runs in that span. Butler drove in eight runs (five in game two) in the Penn State series on a double and three home runs. She leads the Big Ten in doubles (12). She is one of four players ranked in the Big Ten's top six in batting average (.447), on base percentage (.551) and slugging percentage (.929) joining Megan Grant (UCLA), Aly VanBrandt (Indiana) and Jordan Woolery (UCLA). Butler has also scored a run in 10 straight games (and 15 of the last 16).
BATS HEAT UP IN BIG TEN OPENER
Oregon had one of its best offensive weekends of the season during the Penn State series. As a team, the Ducks hit .372 with four doubles, six home runs and 22 RBI. Six Ducks hit .300 or better - Amari Harper (.833), Stefini Ma'ake (.625), Elon Butler (.500), Emma Cox (.333), Taryn Ho (.333) and Kaylynn Jones (.300). Harper had a hit in all three games to match her longest hitting streak - 10 games.
