A two-year letterman and 2016 graduate of Point Loma High School … Posted a 1.72 ERA while going 1-2 with 40 strikeouts in 36.1 innings pitched as a senior … Selected first-team All-Western League as a junior … Finished with an impressive 7-0 record with a 1.53 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 55 innings to help lead Point Loma to an appearance in the CIF San Diego Section Division II playoffs … Gave up just one run while striking out 12 in a complete game win over Mission Hills in the play-in game of the CIF San Diego Section Division II playoffs … Named to the San Diego Union Tribune’s All-Academic team in both 2015 and 2016 … High school baseball coach was former MLB all-star pitcher David Wells.
