A two-sport athlete and 2011 graduate of Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, Calif…played two years for head coach Gary Remiker, and as a senior and the club’s starting first baseman, helped the Dons capture their third CIF San Diego Section Division III title in the last four years batting .346 with 13 runs scored, eight runs driven in, two doubles, two triples, one home run and six stolen bases…Cathedral Catholic finished the year 30-4 with a Western League title and 11-1 mark…was named to the 2011 all-Academic baseball team with a 3.12 GPA, and was an all-Western League pick in both 2011 and 2010…as a junior in 2010 batted .390, drove in 15 runs with 24 runs scored, four doubles, one triple, two home runs and six stolen bases…played three seasons of football for head coach Sean Doyle…on the football field in 2010 as a senior defensive back helped the Dons to their fourth straight CIF San Diego Section Division III title with a 24-7 victory over Lincoln High School…had eight tackles and two interceptions, with one setting up a touchdown that put Cathedral Catholic ahead 17-0 at the start of the fourth quarter…was named to the 2010 All-San Diego Section Defensive Second Team…was also named to the 2009 and 2010 Eastern League defensive first teams… helped the Dons to Eastern League championships in 2008 and 2009 as well as state title in 2008.
