The former 2006-07 USA Junior Outdoor Championships competitor and his twin brother Matt add to Oregon’s deep junior class.
2009-10: Outdoors - Saw action in three meets at Hayward Field. Cross Country - Ran fourth at the season-opening Pre’s Trail Pre-View. Also saw action at the Bill Dellinger Invitational. Was 16th at the Mike Hodges Invitational.
2008-09: Competed in five meets, mainly at 1,500 or 3,000 meters. Finished seventh in the 1,500 versus UCLA in a season-best 3:53.56. Indoors, ran to a personal-best 8:39.41 3,000 meters at the Husky Classic. Raced four times in cross county and led the Ducks at the Beaver Classic, where he ran fifth overall. Was also top-four on the team at the Pre’s Trail Run and the Mike Hodges Invitational. Also ran at the Bill Dellinger Invitational. Season Bests: Outdoors - 1,500 Meters - 3:53.56, Oregon-UCLA Dual Meet, Eugene, Ore. (4/18/09).
2007-08: One of the top newcomers for the NCAA cross country champions. Raced four contests for Ducks. Stood top-seven on squad in the season opener, the Sunriver Open (11th, 19:56) and the regular season finale, the Beaver Classic (14th, 25:14). Also competed in the Mike Hodges Invitational and the Dellinger Invitational. Did not compete in track.
2006-07: Redshirted track and field and cross country seasons and competed in various area races. Outdoors on track, competed unattached in the 1,500, 3,000 and 5,000 meters. Ran personal best of 3:51.79 for the 1,500 meters in the Road to Eugene 08 invitational. Also competed in the 5,000 meters at the USA Junior Championships. In cross country, competed unattached in one race, the Mike Hodges Invitational (10th, 19:35). Season Bests: Outdoors - 1,500 Meters - 3:51.79 (PR), Road to Eugene 08, Eugene, Ore. (5/26/07); 5,000 Meters - 14:54.19 (PR), Stanford Invitational, Stanford, Calif. (3/31/07).
Prep: With twin brother Matt, helped his team win four state cross country team crowns. Took eighth in the 2005 Nike Team Nationals in Portland as his team finished second, and was 29th in ‘04 and helped squad win title. Was a four-time state track placer as a senior (1,600 meter, sixth, 4:16.06, 3,200 meters, second, 9:15.86; 4x800 meter relay, second, 7:41.81) and junior (3,200 meters, second, 9:17.79). Ran on winning distance medley relay in 2006 Nike Outdoor Nationals.
