Three-time Pac-10 champion in 2009-10 (cross country, 5,000, 10,000) became one of the most decorated female student-athlete in school history. Her nine career All-America awards trail only Leann Warren's 10. One of the nation’s top collegiate distance runners with a pair of career top-three finishes in the 5,000 meters, plus another top-three in the 10,000, at the NCAA Track & Field Championships and a pair of career top-10 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. A 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials competitor and 2009-10 USA Track & Field Championships qualifier. The 2008 Pac-10 champion at 5,000 meters. PRs in both the 1,500 meters (4:14.73), 5,000 meters (15:38.61) and 10,000 meters (33:22.62) rank sixth, fourth and fourth, respectively, at Oregon. Indoors, owns the school record in the 5,000 meters (15:51.59) and the second-fastest 3,000 meters (9:08.44) in school history. ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America selection in 2008 (third team), 2009 (second team) and 2010 (second team).
2009-10: Outdoors - All-America both in the classroom and on the track ranked seventh nationally at 10,000 meters, 22nd at 1,500 meters and 23rd at 5,000 meters. Capped collegiate career by taking third in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Championships in a personal-best 33:22.62 to earn her ninth career All-America award. That time was the fourth-best in school history. Also ran the 5,000 at the national meet. Two weeks earlier, qualified for both the 10,000 and 5,000 meter finals at the NCAA West Regional. Was seventh in the 10,000 in 34:33.32 and eighth in the 5,000 in 16:38.80. Truly impressive performance at the Pac-10 Championships where she won both the 5,000 and 10,000 meters. Broke Carol Gray's 22-year-old meet record in the 10,000 meters, winning in 33:28.28. Became the first woman since Oregon's Stephanie Wessell in 1990 to win both the 5,000 and the 10,000 when she captured the 5,000 in a season-best 16:06.74. At the Penn Relays, anchored Oregon's second-place distance medley relay (11:02.85), led off the third-place 4x1,500 meter relay (17:25.27) and had the third leg on the third-place 4x800 relay (8:32.40). Ran a season-best 4:18.85 in the 1,500 meters at the Oregon Twilight. After opening season in the 1,500 meters at the Stanford Invitational, helped Oregon win the Pepsi Team invitational with a pair of impressive second place finishes. Took second in the 1,500 in 4:19.57 and came back at the end of the meet to grab the No. 2 spot in the 5,000 meters in 16:20.60. Named to the ESPN the Magazine All-Academic second team, the District 8 all-academic first team and the Pac-10 all-academic second team. Indoors - Courageous performance at the NCAA Championships where she recoved from a nasty fall in the 5,000 meters to come back and score in the 3,000 meters and help Oregon win its first-ever NCAA Indoor Championship. Was challenging for second place late in the 5,000 during the first night of the NCAA indoor meet, when she got tangled up with a couple of competitiors and fell hard, and could not continue. Less than 24 hours later, and despite a sore right leg, finished fifth in the 3,000 meters in a season-best 9:11.23 to score four team points and earn her eighth career All-America awards. Earlier, established the school record in the indoor 5,000 meters with an impressive run of 15:51.59 in a win at the Husky Classic on Feb. 12. Also claimed a part of the school's distance medley record, a national-best 10:59.64, at the Texas A&M Challenge, before that mark was broken at the NCAA meet. Was the anchor of that team which was the first in school history to break 11:00. Also won the 3,000 meters at Texas A&M in an NCAA automatic time of 9:12.54. Capped regular season by finishing second in the mile at the MPSF Championships in 4:38.88, fourth all time at Oregon. Also anchored the winning distance medley relay team (11:17.71) to lead the Ducks to their first MPSF title. Cross Country - Pac-10 Champion. Ran down Washington’s Kendra Schaaf with 1,000 meters remaining to become the first Pac-10 individual winner in 17 years. Finished in 19:41.71, :05 ahead of Schaaf, to lead the Ducks to a second-place finish. Placed 12th overall as Oregon’s No. 2 runner at the Pre-National Invitational (20:47.8, 6,000 meters). Was Oregon’s No. 5 scorer, placing 15th overall (17:09.60, 5,000 meters), in helping the Ducks to a second-place finish at the Bill Dellinger Invitational. Strong fifth-place run in 21:01.00 to help the Ducks finish second at the NCAA West Regional. Capped fall with her third straight NCAA Championship appearance. 2008-09: Runner-up finish in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Championships capped a year that saw her earn five All-America awards. Had one of the finest indoor seasons in recent memory as she finished sixth in the 3,000 meters (9:15.84) at the NCAA Indoor Championships, where she also helped Oregon set the school record in the distance medley relay (11:02.81) in a sixth-place finish and added a third All-America award in the mile by placing 12th in 4:42.88. Earlier indoors, ran a seasonal-best 4:39.61 in Seattle, which was the third-fastest mile in school history. Outdoors, excelled at 5,000 meters, where she finished no lower than third during the collegiate season, and also scored in the Pac-10 meet at 1,500 meters. Highlights at 5,000 meters include a third-place 15:42.13 at the Stanford Invitational, a win at the Oregon Relays (16:11.58), a second-place finish at the Pac-10 championships (16:16.56), a win at the NCAA West Regional (16:19.14) and a runner-up showing at the NCAA Championships (16:26.58), as Oregon finished second for its best team placing in a quarter century. 2007-08: Two-time All-American, earning honors for both cross country and the outdoor 5,000 meters, and an academic All-American as well. Was a 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials qualifier in both the 5,000 meters and the 1,500 meters. Also the Pac-10 Champion at 5,000 meters. Truly impressive collegiate outdoor season where she finished no lower than fourth in five 1,500 meter races and no worse than fifth in five of six 5,000 meter runs. The lone exception to the string of 5,000 meter success came at the Mt. SAC Relays, where, competing with elite professional runners, she set a season best time of 15:43.82 in finishing 11th overall, but third among collegians. That time was the fourth-best 5,000 at the University. Her excellence in the 5,000 began with a first-place finish at the Pepsi Team Invitational. After Mt. SAC, she won the event at the Pac-10 Championships, becoming the first Oregon woman to win the 5,000 since Nicole Woodward in 1992. Finished second in the 5,000 at the NCAA West Regional to advance to her second NCAA Championships. At 1,500 meters, posted back-to-back second place finishes at the Pepsi Team Invitational (4:20.86) and the Oregon Relays (4:18.55) before running her personal-best time of 4:14.73 in a third-place finish at the Oregon Twilight. That mark was the fourth-fastest at the University. At the Pac-10 Championships, ran second in the preliminaries, before taking fourth in the final. Combined with her win in the 5,000, she contributed 15 points toward Oregon’s total of 100, and led the Ducks to their best finish in 12 years. Indoors, ran the third-fastest 3,000 meter time in school history, 9:08.44, at the UW Indoor Invitational to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, where she also ran on Oregon’s distance medley relay team.
