2007 ? Redshirt season. Was limited most of the fall while rehabbing a prior injury, but donned pads late in the season and began participating in practice.
BEFORE OREGON ? Was the national junior college player of the year for second-ranked SnowCollege in 2006, completing 224-of-335 passes (68 percent) for 3,111 yards and 31 touchdowns. The national leader in passing TDs and yards per game at 259.3 had a quarterback rating of 170.4 during his final JC campaign while rushing for 167 yards (4.6 ypc) and four scores. Completed 62 percent of his passes in 2005 while splitting starting duties. Garnered four stars from Scout.com and three stars from Rivals.com as a JC prospect. Briefly attended BYU following his junior college career before an injury cost him a chance to compete for the starting quarterback position. A three-sport athlete at Timpview high school in Provo, he was originally committed to Utah but embarked on a church mission instead, spending two years in Nicaragua.
