The Metro Conference 4A state offensive player of the year rushed for 2,133 yards and 24 touchdowns his senior year, in addition to returning a pair of punts for scores. Included was a 92-yard punt return for a TD for the Pirates, who finished 2005 with a 5-6 ledger and a first-round state playoff appearance. Rebounded from a 2004 knee injury to complete his prep career as the No. 5 all-time rusher in school history, racking up 4,057 yards (6.6 per carry average) and 32 touchdowns.
