PERSONAL — Born Remene Danay Alston, Jr. on Oct. 3, 1987 in Greensboro, N.C. Parents: Remene Alston and Pamela Posey. Family: Four brothers, one sister. High School (Coach): Page (Bob Via), 2006. Major: Sociology/Political Science. Redshirt: 2006.
2010 — Team’s fourth-leading rusher with a career-high 356 yards • Also set career marks for carries (63) and touchdowns (5) • Picked up 44 yards on four totes in win vs. Arizona • Six carries for 24 yards vs. Washington and two carries for four yards at USC • Career-best three touchdowns on the ground vs. UCLA, rushing eight times for 75 yards • Had a season-long 42-yard run against the Bruins • Accounted for his first score of the season on a 20-yard run late in the third quarter vs. Portland State as part of his 59 yards on the ground for the afternoon • Carried nine times for 40 yards and a touchdown in the win at Tennessee • Ran for a career-high 110 yards in a season-opening win over New Mexico • His 38-yard run on the last play of the day against the Lobos fell 4 yards shy of the end zone • Also added 14 yards on his lone catch of the day • Member of the Oregon Iron Club, totaling 1,037 pounds in clean, squat and bench during winter testing • Shared top honors among all players at his position with a 297-lb. clean.
2009 — Made his season debut against California, coming off the bench to rush for 42 yards and one touchdown on six carries • Added a season-high 59 yards and another score the following week vs. Washington State • Team’s fifth-leading rusher ran for 133 yards and two touchdowns in five games.
2008 — A promising sophomore campaign ended early when he broke his foot during practice on Oct. 20 • Was the team’s fourth-leading rusher with 161 yards, despite missing the final six games of the year • Had a career-high 73 yards on six carries at Washington State • Ran for 71 yards on 11 carries, including a touchdown, vs. Utah State • Made his first career reception – for 10 yards – at USC • Carried four times for 17 yards in the opener vs. Washington • Also a key contributor on special teams, he had two solo tackles in seven games • Honored as special teams scout team player of the week leading up to win over Utah State.
2007 — A member of Oregon’s talented backfield, which set single-game and single-season rushing marks • Appeared in seven games with multiple carries in four, including 13 vs. Washington State. Had a season-high 54 all-purpose yards against WSU, including a season-high 26 yards on the ground • Scored his first career touchdown on his lone carry at Washington • Was also called on to return a pair of kickoffs for 45 yards, including a crucial 17-yard effort in a conference victory against USC.
2006 — Was acknowledged as one of program’s top scout team contributors, earning team’s scout team’s offensive player-of-the-week accolades for nine consecutive weeks from prior to the Fresno State game through USC.
HIGH SCHOOL — The PrepStar all-region choice ranked among the top 20 prep running back recruits in the country by Rivals.com, as well as among the top 22 recruits out of North Carolina • The Metro Conference 4A state offensive player of the year rushed for 2,133 yards and 24 touchdowns his senior year, in addition to returning a pair of punts for scores • Included was a 92-yard punt return for a TD for the Pirates, who finished 2005 with a 5-6 ledger and a first-round state playoff appearance • Rebounded from a 2004 knee injury to complete his prep career as the No. 5 all-time rusher in school history, racking up 4,057 yards (6.6 per carry average) and 32 touchdowns • The three-time all-conference selection was named to the 2005 all-area team by the (Greensboro) News & Record • Began his high school career by rushing for 902 yards and four touchdowns (6.3 avg.) in 2003.
