
After Second Tourney Win, Ducks Take on Baylor for Championship Tonight

The Ducks will have the opportunity to clinch their second
consecutive preseason tournament crown with a victory over host-Baylor at
The Ladyjacks, a 2006 NCAA Tournament participant and
defending Southland Conference champions fall to 1-4 on the season.
It was a total team effort by the Ducks as three players
finished with double figures in kills, while setters Nevena Djordjevic and
Rachel Morris combined for 51 assists, and the team hit .446, setting a new
season high.
Freshman Heather Meyers set career-highs with 15
kills, three service aces and three blocks. Her 19.5 points is the most any Oregon player has totaled in 2007, and she also hit a 2007-best .737.
Junior Gorna Maricic recorded her fifth consecutive game
with double figures in kills, contributing 10. Sophomore Sonja Newcombe added
13 kills, and four blocks for a season-high 15.0 points.
SFA was held to a .071 hitting percentage.
Sophomore Neticicia Enesi added nine kills and a season-high four blocks for 10.0 points. Senior Karen Waddington also had four blocks.
QUICK QUACKS: Head coach Jim Moore is 26-1 in non-conference
action in his three seasons at Oregon...Oregon's stretch of not dropping a game
in its last 15 is the longest since the start of the rally scoring era 2001...junior
Marija Milosevic saw time in game two and recorded her first kill and block of
