For the second consecutive match,
Verdasco and Gallardo each took their respective matches at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions to three sets, but could not prevail. Verdasco fell 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 to Hejazi, while Gallardo was upended by Therp at No. 2, 4-6, 6-3,6-4.
At the third position, Konigsfeldt defeated Cornelissen in straight sets,
6-4, 6-2, while Hui got past
Eric Lee knocked off Myrhed, 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 6 position.
