Decathlon
2nd Place - Marcus Nilsson (UCLA) On his performance… “I had a good hurdle today but I struggled in the pole vault
a little.” On competing for the
second day… “I felt good. I was fresh, that wasn't a problem today.” 8th Place – Alec Fellows (Oregon) On his performance… “I started off strong with the hurdles and the disc was a
PR. The vault and the javelin were alright. All around I can't complain.” On his mindset… “When you have a bad event you have to forget about it and

Dakotah Keys' victory… “He just brought it and kept going. I'm very proud of him.” 1st Place - Dakotah Keys (Oregon) On the win… “It all came together and ended up working out. Marcus
(Nilsson) was ahead but I stayed cool throughout the pole vault and kept going
and it worked out.” On his victory… “I can't really believe it yet, but it's what I was hoping
for. It hasn't soaked in yet but I am very excited.” On having his family
at Hayward… “Having my family here really helps. I had at least 50
people in the stands cheering for me that I personally knew. Family support is
a necessity.” Oregon Head Coach Vin Lananna On Brianne Theisen's
victory in the heptathlon… “Brianne did a fantastic job and I am so excited for her. Not
only was it a great performance but its great that she has won three times in
the Pac-10 and Pac-12. I'm glad it went the right way. It was a great
performance and a great way for the women to start off the Pac-12
