Ducks Look To Regroup After Sweep

How It Happened: For the second day in a row, a big inning by the Wildcats doomed the Ducks (17-11). Arizona touched UO starter Cole Irvin (1-2) for seven runs in the second inning, capped by a two-run Bobby Dalbec home run.
Oregon got within 10-4 in the top of the sixth, when Josh Graham continued his recent hot streak with an RBI double. But Arizona (22-6, 7-3) got to the UO bullpen for three more runs in the bottom of the inning.
Craig-St. Louis Caps Big Weekend: UO junior Phil Craig-St. Louis singled in a run during the Ducks' two-run fifth inning. He had his third straight two-hit game, finishing the series 6-of-13 with three RBIs and two runs.
Back End Provides Silver Lining: The back end of Oregon's bullpen ended the game on a positive note. Setup man Stephen Nogosek and closer Garrett Cleavinger teamed to get the last seven outs of the game, without allowing a run or hit.
Tale of Two Teams: Oregon was done in partly Sunday by an inability to come through with runners on. The Ducks stranded 13 runners over the course of the game, hitting 2-of-12 with runners in scoring position. The Wildcats, on the other hand, were 7-of-15 in such situations.
Up Next: The Ducks have nearly two full weeks before the resumption of Pac-12 play. Oregon opens a span of five games in six days by hosting Portland on Tuesday in PK Park at 6 p.m.
