A small Oregon contingent looks to make a big impression as competition on the men's side wraps up in the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field.

Big Stories for the Ducks: The Men of Oregon don't have a deep slate of entrants this evening, but there certainly are chances to score. Sam Prakel and Mick Stanovsek looked strong in running 1-2 for most of their qualifying heat Wednesday, and they'll have a chance to work together again to pick up points in the 1,500 final tonight. And Cravon Gillespie will look to follow up Wednesday's all-conditions personal best — a wind-aided 10.02 seconds — in the 100 final.
Not to be overlooked: Ben Milligan will be the 21st of 24 competitors in the high jump to make his first attempt this evening, giving the Ducks an entrant in the first individual event contested on the men's side. Oregon will also be represented in the last individual event of the meet, when Cooper Teare makes his NCAA Outdoor Championships debut in the 5,000. He'll be one of just two freshmen in the field.
What to watch elsewhere: Georgia comes into the day ahead in the team race with 34 points, and the Bulldogs will want to maximize their remaining opportunities. The first comes in the high jump, where the Bulldogs field both Keenon Laine and Antonios Merlos. That's also a chance to win head-to-head against their biggest threat in the team race, Florida, which has Clayton Brown and Jhonny Victor in the high jump. Georgia can also try and hold off a team-title contender in the 100, where Cejhae Greene takes on the Houston trio of Elijah Hall, Cameron Burrell and Mario Burke. Georgia's fourth and final entry is in the 200, Kendal Williams, a chance to score in an event with no Florida or Houston entrants. The Gators and Cougars will go head-to-head in both relays, and Florida will look for big points from KeAndre Bates in the triple jump and Grant Holloway in the 110 hurdles.
