Ducks Fall Short to UC Davis

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon lacrosse team finished with a three-point loss to UC Davis, 15-12, at Pape Field on Saturday afternoon.
How It Happened: UC Davis opened up with three consecutive goals to start the game. Oregon responded with three goals of its own from midfielder Jamie Level and attackers Emily Munro and Shannon Williams. The Aggies followed with a 4-0 run to take a 7-3 lead over the Ducks. UO finished out the first half with back-to-back goals from attacker Carlie Leach, and attacker Lillian Stump scored her first goal of the season. Oregon trailed UC Davis, 8-6, headed into intermission.
During the second half, the Ducks scored six times. Williams led the way with two more goals for her third hat trick of the season. Level and Stump each tallied one more goal, while midfielder Claire Domshick registered two goals for Oregon.
Notable: Williams led the Ducks with five points off three goals and two assists… Williams has scored at least five points in every game this season… Goalkeeper Rachel Hall recorded nine saves… Defender Madeline Reece and Level each had four ground balls… Midfielder Lily Shalz tallied four draw controls.
