Ducks Enter Pac-12 Play in California

The Oregon lacrosse team heads to the Golden State this weekend to open Pac-12 play at California on Friday and No. 15 Stanford on Sunday.
EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon heads to the Golden State this weekend to begin Pac-12 play. The Ducks open at California on Friday, March 8, at 5:00 p.m. UO defeated the Cal in its first-ever Pac-12 Tournament win last season, 22-9, and went 2-1 overall against the Golden Bears in 2018. The Ducks close out the weekend at No. 15 Stanford on Sunday, March 10, at 1:00 p.m.
WILLIAMS ON THE ATTACK
One of 14 current players nationally with 200 career points or more, senior Shannon Williams is just four points away from becoming Oregon's all-time leader. Williams ranks 10th among active Division I players with 216 career points, doing so on 136 goals and 80 assists. Her 136 goals are 10th among active Division I players, while her 80 assists are also 10th. Below is a look at Oregon's top three all-time leading scorers.
While dominating in the Oregon history book, Williams has also taken command on the conference and national stage. The senior attacker is the only Division I player in the country with at least five points in each of the first five games this season for an average of 5.40 points per game that ranks 12th in NCAA. She also leads the Pac-12 Conference in points (27) and assists (13) and stands at 10th in assists and 16th in points on the national scene.
FRESHMEN MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Three freshmen have made a monumental impact on Oregon's play this season. Goalkeeper Rachel Hall has tallied 62 saves through five games to lead the Pac-12 Conference. Her 62 saves already rank 10th in Oregon program history, and she is the current record holder for save percentage at 49.6 percent. Nationally, Hall stands at fourth in saves per game (12.40) and 11th in saves (62).
Attacker Carlie Leach and midfielder Jamie Level have combined for 19 goals this season, with Leach scoring 10 and Level registering nine. Leach's .667 shot percentage leads the Pac-12 and ranks 12th nationally, while Level's 5.40 draw controls per game lead the conference and stand at No. 33 in the nation.
