Ducks Add All-Region Setter

Hannah Pukis, a transfer from WSU, is a two-time Pacific North All-Region performer and was an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention pick after the 2021 spring season.
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon volleyball head coach Matt Ulmer has announced the addition of setter Hannah Pukis to the Ducks' 2022 roster. Pukis, a transfer from Washington State, is a two-time Pacific North All-Region performer and was an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention pick after the 2021 spring season.

This past season, Pukis finished fifth in the Pac-12 with 10.30 assists per set and added 2.55 digs per set. She recorded 13 double-doubles in the fall including nine during Pac-12 play; she has 36 double-doubles in her career. The Ducks were on the receiving end of Pukis' near triple-double performance (Nov. 18) in Pullman when she tallied 45 assists, 14 digs and a career-high nine kills.

The Tacoma, Wash., native dished out 40 or more assists in 12 matches this season with a season-high 53 assists in wins over Washington (Sept. 26) and Arizona State (Nov. 7). In directing the WSU offense, Pukis set the Cougars to a .300 or higher hitting percentage seven times in the fall with a high mark of .418 against Gonzaga (Sept. 10).

Pukis was named to the All-Pac-12 Team for a second-consecutive season in addition to her all-region accolades. She helped Washington State to NCAA Tournament appearances in each of the past three seasons including a trip to the second round in 2021. She had 33 assists, eight digs and seven kills in a first-round win over Northern Colorado (Dec. 2).

In three seasons with WSU, Pukis accumulated 2,876 assists, 741 digs and 266 kills. She owns a career high of 62 assists from her redshirt freshman campaign in 2019, a five-set win at Utah. She added 12 digs, five kills and four blocks in that match against the Utes.

Pukis was named to the 2019 Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and was later selected as a VolleyMag.com Freshman All-America Honorable Mention pick. The following March (2020), Pukis was chosen to the U.S. Women's Collegiate National Team—Anaheim roster.
