Historic Effort Earns Nuneviller Pac-12 Weekly Honor

SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon junior outside hitter Brooke Nuneviller was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week after turning in an incredible 35-kill performance in Sunday's win over No. 7 Washington.
Nuneviller recorded the second-most kills in a match in the rally-scoring era at Oregon, finishing with 35 and just one attack error on 65 swings in the win over the Huskies. Both her kill and attack attempt totals were career highs while her one hitting error did not come until the second-to-last point of the match. For the week, Nuneviller averaged 5.88 kills and 3.75 digs per set while hitting .455 on 97 total swings.
She is just the sixth player in school history to record 35 kills in a match and the only player in the NCAA since at least 2014 to have at least 35 kills with one or fewer hitting errors in a match. Nuneviller is also the first Pac-12 player in the rally scoring era to have 35 kills with just one attack error in a match while she is the first player in the conference to record at least 35 kills while hitting over .500 in a match since 2010 (Alix Klineman).
On the season, Nuneviller is averaging 3.51 kills and 3.85 digs per set, and is the only Pac-12 player and one of just five players nationally averaging at least 3.5 kills and 3.8 digs per game. She is also the only player in the conference leading her team in both kills and digs and is currently seventh in the league in kills per set and fourth in digs per set – the only player to be in the top 10 in both categories. This is also the second time she has won the conference's weekly offensive award after she became the first Pac-12 player ever to sweep the league's offensive and defensive weekly awards on Feb. 15 following the Arizona matches.
