No. 21 Oregon Hosts Huskies Friday

EUGENE, Ore. — No. 21 Oregon returns to Matthew Knight Arena for a weekend series with the Washington schools, as the Huskies visit Friday night at 7 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Oregon.
The Ducks look to rebound from a 79-71 loss at No. 15 Arizona Sunday. The Wildcats handed UO its fourth loss of the season, all coming to teams ranked in the nation's top 15. UO split two games on its road trip to the Grand Canyon State after starting the weekend with an 82-62 trouncing of Arizona State.
Oregon owns a 54-51 series lead against Washington and seeks its 10th straight win against the Huskies. UO claimed the only meeting a season ago, 68-61, in Seattle, while the Ducks are 7-2 against UW at Matthew Knight Arena.

LAST TIME OUT
In the weekend series finale Sunday at Arizona, Oregon held a 35-34 lead at halftime and trailed the Wildcats by two with 29 second to play. UA connected on all six of its free throws to clinch a 79-71 victory.
VanSlooten led all players with 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting while Paopao and Rogers each added 17 points. Kyei grabbed 10 rebounds for her eighth straight game with double-digit boards.
The Ducks shot 52.7 percent from the field - their highest shooting percentage in a loss this season - but committed a season-high-tying 20 turnovers. Arizona turned those 20 turnovers into 16 points while Oregon turned nine Wildcat turnovers into eight points. UA also held a 26-3 edge in bench points, marking the Ducks' lowest bench scoring effort of the season.
SCOUTING WASHINGTON
Washington began the season 8-1, but has dropped four of its last five games after a 66-52 loss at rival Washington State on Sunday. The loss extended the Huskies' losing skid to three games, including home losses to Colorado and Utah.
Dalayah Daniels is the only player averaging double digits in scoring at 11.6 points per game. Daniels also leads her team with 6.6 rebounds a game. Haley Van Dyke is second in scoring at 8.8 points a game and Lauren Schwartz is third at 8.0 points. As a team, UW averages a Pac-12-low 64.1 points per game while shooting 40.8 percent from the field, with a league-low 22.6 3-point percentage.
Washington averages 42.0 rebounds a game while opponents are grabbing just 31.1 boards an outing, good for the second-best rebounding margin in the conference at 10.9 (ninth in the country. UW's 15.6 offensive rebounds per game rank second in the Pac-12 and 16th nationally.
Defensively, UW allows 57.6 points per contest, which ranks fourth in the conference. Opponents are shooting 34.4 percent from 3-point range against the Huskies, which ranks 12th in the league, while Oregon ranks first in 3-point shooting at 38.0 percent.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Meeting 105 times in the series' history, Oregon owns a 54-51 lead against Washington dating back to 1974. The Ducks have won nine straight meetings against the Huskies going back to the 2016-17 season, their third-longest winning streak in the series. Kyei is responsible for five of Oregon's eight double-doubles this season, with three coming in a four-game span from Nov. 27 to Dec. 15.
