01/19/23 | Men's Tennis
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon men's tennis has signed Belgian standout Zian Vanderstappen, it was announced today by head coach Nils Schyllander.
Vanderstappen, a native of Lebbeke, Belgium, is the No. 2 overall U18 player in Belgium and the No. 40 player overall. He will be a big addition to the program.
"We are thrilled to welcome Zian into our program here at Oregon," said Schyllander. "He is following in the footsteps of several former highly successful Belgian tennis players that have suited up for the Ducks. The ceiling for Zian is very, very high and it's going to be awesome to be a part of his journey, let's go!"
Vanderstappen will join the Ducks in fall of 2023. The spring season for this season's Ducks starts on Friday, with a morning match vs. Utah State and an evening one at 5:00 p.m. vs. UC Riverside.
