No Doubt About 10th Win in a Row
04/27/23 | Softball
STOCKTON, Calif. – Allee Bunker hit a grand slam and Raegan Breedlove and Allison Benning combined for a no-hitter as No. 14 Oregon run-ruled Pacific 13-2 in five innings for its 10th win in a row Thursday at Bill Simoni Field.
Bunker matched her career high with five RBI, going 3-for-3 on the day, while Terra McGowan went 2-for-2 and drove in three runs. The Ducks (32-11) also got home runs from Tehya Bird and Ariel Carlson, who homered for the third consecutive game.
Breedlove gave up no hits and walked just one batter in 3.2 innings to improve to 4-3 on the season. She recorded eight ground outs and got behind just the one batter that she walked.
"That was a huge thing for us," said Breedlove, who played in front of a number of friends and family who made the drive south from Shasta Lake, Calif. "I was working ahead with a lot of first pitch strikes and then letting them put the ball in play and ground out or whatever.
"It's super cool being from Northern California and it's such a joy to have anybody – family, friends, old coaches – here."
How It Happened: Oregon scored two runs or more in each of the first four innings.

McGowan's first hit of the day, a single through the left side in the top of the first, scored Kai Luschar with the first run of the game. The Ducks added a second run in the inning when Vallery Wong walked with the bases loaded for a 2-0 lead.
Oregon added four runs in the second inning. McGowan's second single of the day scored both Luschar and Bunker. Carlson followed with her sixth home run of the season to make it 6-0.
Bird led off the third inning with her sixth home run of the season.
Then Paige Sinicki was hit by a pitch and Kyle Morris reached on an infield single. Both runners advanced a base due to an error on the play.
Bunker's sacrifice fly to center scored Sinicki for an 8-0 lead. The Ducks added another run in the inning when KK Humphreys drew a bases-loaded walk.
Oregon's last for runs came on Bunker's grand slam in the fourth inning.
Remmington Hewitt was hit by a pitch. One out later, Morris singled. Karissa Ornelas pinch-hit for Luschar and singled to load the bases.
Bunker then hit a towering moonshot down the left field line that just cleared the fence and made it 13-0.
Pacific (9-25) scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth on a couple of walks, two errors and a wild pitch before the Ducks closed it out.

Notable: Oregon's 10-game winning streak is its longest since an 11-game streak early in the 2022 season … McGowan extended her hitting streak to seven games, tying the longest streak of her career … Ornelas is now 6-for-17 as a pinch hitter this season … Bunker last had five RBIs Feb. 12, 2021, against Weber State … Luschar scored a career-high three runs … Every Oregon starter had a base hit except Hanna Delgado.

Junior pitcher Raegan Breedlove on preparing for the task ahead
"We came in here playing a faceless opponent and it's the same thing for Cal. This was a little warmup for the weekend, a little confidence boost to prepare us."
Up Next: Oregon heads to Berkeley for a pivotal weekend series at California. Game one is Friday at 3 p.m. (Pac-12 Live Stream).
