EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon lacrosse closes out its season-opening homestand with a matchup against Marist on Sunday at 2 p.m. PT. The Ducks are 2-0 for the first time since 2018 and have outscored their opponents, 36-15.

CLOSING OUT THE HOMESTAND
After improving to 2-0 for the first time since 2018 with a 17-7 win over Saint Francis last Friday, Oregon prepares to close out its season-opening homestand against Marist. This marks the sixth meeting all time between the Ducks and the Red Foxes, with the former leading the series, 4-1. The last time the two met was in 2016 in Eugene, a 10-4 win by Oregon.
SOPHOMORE STUD
Sophomore midfielder Anna Simmons has been on a tear to open the season for Oregon. The youngest of the Ducks' six team captains has scored nine goals through two games, already surpassing her total of eight from last season. Simmons is also second on the team in draw controls (9) and also has three assists.
DRAW CONTROLLER
Oregon midfielder Rachel Pallo made history against Saint Francis as she broke the single-game program record with 11 draw controls. Pallo has dominated the draw control this season, totaling 16 to lead the Ducks in the category. The sophomore is averaging 8.0 draw controls in 2024 after averaging just 1.6 in 17 games as a freshman.
GOOD IN GOAL
After impressing in the second half of the season opener, goalkeeper Thayer Hubbard earned the start for Oregon against Saint Francis. Hubbard made three saves and allowed just two goals in 30 minutes of action, earning her second-career win.
SENSATIONAL SENIOR
Senior midfielder Morgan McCarthy is back for her senior season after becoming the first Duck to be named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team in back-to-back seasons. McCarthy was also named an All-Pac-12 second-team selection for a second-consecutive season after leading Oregon with career-highs in goals (37) and points (40).
