LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Oregon volleyball team picked up their second ranked win in the past week with Wednesday's road sweep (25-19, 25-19, 25-23) at No. 25 UCLA. The Ducks hit a season-high .327 in the win and improved to 13-5 this season with a 4-5 mark in Big Ten play.
With the result, Oregon also extended its winning streak against UCLA to seven.

Alanah Clemente and Valentina Vaulet each put down a match-high 13 kills, and were joined in double figures by Sophia Meyers who tallied 10 kills against the Bruins. Clemente had 10 digs to complete the first double-double of her career, and added three services aces including the match winner.
Senior setter Cora Taylor dished out 38 assists in the sweep to go along with six digs, two kills and an ace. For a second-consecutive match, Iva Sucurovic was errorless in the middle with seven kills on 10 swings and led all players with four blocks. Behind the block, Meyers and Reese Sheppard each picked up nine digs.
How It Happened: UCLA (11-8, 5-4 B1G) led 15-13 at the media timeout in the first set but the Ducks came out of the break with a 6-1 run and led 19-16 after a Vaulet kill. The home team pulled to within one after a block—UO up 20-19—but Oregon rattled off the last five points of the opener, capping the push with a joust kill by Sucurovic.
The Ducks won the first three points of the second and never trailed in the set. Sucurovic posted a kill followed by an ace from Clemente for a 13-8 lead that forced UCLA to call a timeout. Vaulet extended the lead to seven with kills at 16-9 and 17-10. Oregon maintained a cushion of at least four points for the remainder of the frame, and on the team's second set point, Clemente got a kill from the back row for the 2-0 match lead.
Vaulet had six of her 13 kills in the second set. The UO junior finished the match hitting .357, good for her seventh outing of the year with double-digit kills coupled with a .300 or higher efficiency.
UCLA used a quick start of its own in the third, winning four of the first five points on its way to a 9-6 lead which forced an Oregon timeout. Facing a 14-10 deficit, the Ducks answered by taking six of the next seven points and taking its first lead of the set at 16-15. From there, the score would be tied six times down the stretch.
The Bruins eased ahead 20-18 after consecutive kills from Cheridyn Leverette but Oregon pulled back even at 21-21 after a kill from Clemente followed by an ace from Vaulet. With the score tied at 23-23, Clemente went back to the service line. Meyers ended the ensuing rally with a kill, her 10th of the day, and the Ducks had match point. After a series of serves down the line during the match, Clemente cut one cross court that ricocheted off a UCLA player for the match-winning ace.
Leverette led her team with 12 kills while UCLA libero Lola Schumacher had a match-high 14 digs.
Notable: Vaulet and Clemente are now fourth and fifth in the Big Ten with 31 and 30 aces this season, respectively … Sucurovic is hitting .650 (13-0-20) in the past two matches … Taylor passed 3,600 career assists; ninth among active NCAA DI setters (3,625) … team's 43 digs is its season high for a three-set match … now 3-1 in the in-season Big Ten Discover Volleyball Challenge.
