The Ducks played their third game in five days, and with one more leg of an extended road trip at Auburn on Sunday, head coach Kelly Graves was able to lean on his deep bench with only one starter playing over 20 minutes.
UO's bench combined to go 20-of-28 (71 percent) from the field, getting a game-high 18 points from Astera Tuhina and a career-high 15 from Ehis Etute. In the SEC preseason coaches poll, Auburn was voted to finish 15th in the 16-team league under first-year head coach Larry Vickers.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Oregon and Auburn will meet for the second straight season on the back end of a home-and-home. The Ducks clung on for a 70-68 victory a season ago at Matthew Knight Arena, as the Tigers clawed to within one possession multiple times in the fourth quarter. Amina Muhammad scored 10 points to go with five rebounds in the win, which was one of five two-point games Oregon won during the 2024-25 season.
Auburn does own a 2-1 all-time series lead, as last season's meeting was the first since the 1990-91 campaign. Sunday's matchup will be the second between the sides at Auburn, with the Tigers winning 89-78 on Nov. 26, 1989.
OFF AND RUNNING
Oregon is off to an 8-0 start for the first time since 2020-21, the third 8-0 start or better under 12th-year head coach Kelly Graves after going unbeaten at the Hoopfest Women's Challenge in Frisco, Texas, over Thanksgiving week. The Ducks have scored 80 or more in six of their eight games, including five straight to being the season - its longest streak to begin a season since seven straight such games to open the 2019-20 season. UO's scoring offense of 83.1 points per game ranks No. 26 nationally and seventh in the Big Ten.
Three times this season five players scored have finished in double figures, most recently in a Nov. 16 win over Army: Mia Jacobs (17), Sofia Bell (14), Amina Muhamad (14), Katie Fiso (12) and Sarah Rambus (12). Eleven different Ducks have finished a game with 10 or more points this season, with four coming off the bench (Avary Cain, Ehis Etute, Muhammad, Astera Tuhina and Janiyah Williams).
» Oregon's offensive rating of 113.9 (points per 100 possessions) ranks sixth in the Big Ten while averaging 72.9 possessions per 40 minutes (ninth in Big Ten).
» UO's field goal percentage of 50.4 is 13th-best in the country, with its 59.3 shooting percentage on two-point shots is No. 5 in the nation.

STORM AND SWARM
Oregon's stifling defense, which was a chief reason for Oregon's success a season ago, is back again this season. The Ducks have forced over 20 turnovers and recorded double-digit steals in seven of eight contests to start the season - tied for the most such games in the country. Oregon forced a season-high 32 turnovers against West Georgia behind 24 steals in the season opener, its most steals in a game since 2013. Oregon's defense recorded 12 or more steals and forced at least 23 turnovers in four consecutive games to begin the season. The four straight games with double-digit steals were one shy of matching the longest streak from a season ago, while the four consecutive games forcing 20-plus turnovers marked its longest since eight straight such games during the 2010-11 season.
» Oregon has created at least 22 turnovers in three straight outings, forcing 29 vs. Utah State, 26 against Saint Mary's and 22 in its last game against Old Dominion.
» The Ducks recorded 18 steals and forced 29 Utah State turnovers in their 70-34 win on Nov. 23, both the second-highest totals of the season.
» The 34 points allowed to the Aggies was UO's fewest given up since a 97-33 win over Charleston on Dec. 18, 2022 - and only the ninth time yielding 34 points or fewer since 1999.
» The Aggies went just 1-of-18 (5.6 percent) from the 3-point line, UO's lowest 3-point percentage allowed since holding Baylor without a 3-point field goal in the 2019 Final Four (0-for-3).
» The Ducks are one of eight teams in the country with at least six games of 12 or more steals, and one off the national lead.
» Oregon is recording a steal on 17.4 percent of opponent possessions, which is the second-highest rate in the Big Ten and 11th-highest in the nation.
» Opposing teams are turning the ball over on 29.4 percent of its possessions, the third-best rate in the conference and 13th-highest in the country.
» The seven games with 22 or more forced turnovers are tied for the most nationally and best in the Big Ten.
» UO's scoring defense ranks fourth in the Big Ten and 22nd in the nation, allowing just 52.4 points a night and with just one team eclipsing the 60-point mark (Grand Canyon, 66).
HERE WE GO, FISO
Sophomore point guard Katie Fiso has stepped into the Ducks' lead guard spot this season, as she takes over after the departure of graduate guards Deja Kelly and Peyton Scott. Fiso, who was the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Washington her senior season, got her first career start in the season opener against West Georgia on Nov. 3 and turned in her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 assists without a turnover. She produced her first 20-point scoring effort while handing out 10 assists against Grand Canyon on Nov. 11 and has since recorded points-assists double-doubles against Army (12 points, 10 assists) and Saint Mary's (15 points, 10 assists).
» Her four points-assists double-doubles this season lead the nation and are twice as many as the next closest (Caliyah DeVillasee, Cincinnati).
» Four total double-doubles are tied for the Big Ten lead and tied for third nationally.
» Turned in the first 20-point, 10-assist double-double by a Duck since Sabrina Ionescu had 20 points and 12 assists against Stanford on March 8, 2020.
» First Duck with multiple points-assists double-doubles in a season since Ionescu during the 2019-20 campaign (17).
» One of just three Ducks since at least 1999 to have at least four points-assists double-doubles in a season (Maite Cazorla, Ionescu).
» First Duck with 10-plus assists without a turnover since Minyon Moore did so at USC on Feb. 16, 2020, and first Duck since Ionescu on Feb. 1, 2020 with a point-assists double-double without committing a turnover.
» Led (or tied) UO in assists in all eight outings this season and is second in the Big Ten at 7.9 assists a night (fifth nationally).
» Her double-double against West Georgia was the first points-assists double-double by a Duck since the 2022-23 season when Te-Hina Paopao did so in the WNIT on March 3, 2023.
» Scored a career-high 22 points at Washington State on Nov. 19 while going 10-for-14 from the floor and dishing out a team-high eight assists.
» During the week of Nov. 10-16 (two games), she averaged 16.0 points and 10.0 assists while going 14-of-16 from the field (87.5 percent) and was named to the Big Ten's weekly honor roll on Nov. 17.
» Fiso is the only player in the country averaging at least 7.0 assists and shooting 50.0 percent or better from the floor.
RING THE BELL
Junior guard Sofia Bell is a phenom on the court and in the classroom. Bell earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon after only two years and is already enrolled in an MBA program at UO. On the basketball court, she is a disruptor to opposing offenses and has developed into a knock-down 3-point shooter. The 6-foot Bell is the Ducks' leader in both steals and blocks as a guard, recording at least one steal in all eight games this season with multiples steals in six contests, and has registered at least one theft in 41 of her 57 career games. Eight of her 25 career blocks have come this season after having just three over 28 games last year.
On the offensive end, she is shooting 42.1 percent from behind the 3-point line (16-of-38) and has drained multiple 3-pointers six times. Bell is one of just four players in the nation, and the only player in the Big Ten, to have at least eight blocks while making at least 16 3-pointers while leading the group in steals per game.
EHIS THE BEAST
Sophomore F Ehis Etute has begun to tap into her raw potential in her second season in Eugene. The Luxembourg product led Oregon with a career-high 15 points to go with eight rebounds off the bench against Old Dominion on Thursday. It was her second double-digit scoring performance this season, and fifth of her career.
An adept rebounder despite standing at 6-feet tall, Etute has led UO in rebounding in five of eight games this season and has finished as the team's leader nine times in her career. Against Washington State on Nov. 19, she hauled in a career-high 13 rebounds, with eight coming on the offensive end. The eight offensive boards mark the most by any player in the Big Ten this season. Etute averaged 9.9 minutes a game during her freshman campaign and is logging 15.8 minutes a game thus far in 2025-26, coming off the bench in each game.
