Rivalry Romp By Ducks At MKA
12/03/25 | Women's Basketball
Oregon set a program record for points against OSU in a 96-73 win Wednesday.
EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon has been hosting games against Oregon State since 1975, and never before have the Ducks dominated the Beavers at home the way they did Wednesday.
The UO women (10-0) set a program record for points in the rivalry series and won by their largest margin ever over OSU at home, 96-73. The Ducks threatened to break their record for largest margin ever over the Beavers, two 25-point wins in Corvallis in the Eighties, but OSU hit a three-pointer in the final 30 seconds to avoid that.
Katie Fiso scored 23 points and dished out 14 assists, second-most in program history, to lead the Ducks at Matthew Knight Arena. Mia Jacobs had 21 points with six rebounds, and Sarah Rambus added a career-high 18 points.
"My teammates were just in the right places, creating the right reads, setting the right screens, playing good on defense and then running in transition," said Fiso, whose 14 assists were three shy of the UO record set by Sabrina Ionescu in 2018. "So I was able to find them. They were playing really hard, so I'm proud of the team."

The Ducks led by as many as 32, late in the first half, and were up 30 at halftime. Oregon State fought back within 17 late in the third quarter, before Oregon regained momentum.
"That first half we played about as well as we can play," said UO coach Kelly Graves, whose team shot 67.9 percent for the game (38-of-56), including 74.2 percent in the first half (23-of-31). "They picked up their aggressiveness at both ends of the floor (in the third quarter), and we didn't go with them unfortunately. But in the end it was a really good win."
How It Happened: The Ducks got an early jolt of energy from Ari Long, who drew a charge and blocked a shot within Oregon State's first four possessions of the game. Then, with OSU up 7-4, Long had two steals that led to transition buckets during a 10-0 run by the Ducks that put them in the lead for good.

"She's one of our best defenders, and she creates a lot of chaos on defense, which is great for us, creates a lot of good momentum on the offensive end," Fiso said of Long. "So I'm proud of her. She does a lot of the little dirty things that doesn't really get on the stat sheet, and she works hard."
After OSU scored to end that 10-0 run, the Ducks scored another 12 in a row, getting three-pointers from Sofia Bell, Fiso and Jacobs. Avary Cain closed out the first quarter with yet another three, capping a period in which the Ducks shot 12-of-15 — 6-of-7 on threes — to lead 31-14.
Oregon then was up 39-22 in the second when the Ducks went on an 18-3 run, which included eight points by Rambus. She did most of her work in the midrange, making jumpers against OSU forwards who stayed down in the post.

"That's a main shot we work on in practice, and I was able to knock it down," Rambus said.
The Ducks led 57-27 at halftime. A bucket from Amina Muhammad midway through the third made it 65-38, at which point Oregon State mounted a 13-3 run to get within 17 at 68-51. Two free throws by Jacobs and a basket by Bell to close the third made it 72-51, getting the UO women some momentum entering the final quarter.
"There was a big drop-off definitely in second half," Fiso said. "If we want to be a great team, we've got to keep that same level of intensity, same level of discipline that we had in the first half, to finish out games."

Baskets by Bell and Fiso put Oregon up 81-54 in the fourth, and a three-point play by Fiso gave the Ducks their largest lead of the period at 84-56. Muhammad scored with 1:13 left for a 96-70 lead, on track to be Oregon's largest margin of victory ever in the series, but the Beavers hit a late three to close the scoring.
Notable: Sophomore forward Ehis Etute suited up but did not play after suffering an ankle injury Sunday at Auburn. … Oregon State was issued a rare administrative technical foul in the first quarter because a player was inadvertently omitted from the scorebook. … The Ducks improved to 67-47 all-time against Oregon State, including 37-16 in Eugene.
Up Next: The Ducks play at UCLA on Sunday (noon, FS1).
