The Fighting Illini and Wildcats will mark the third and fourth consecutive ranked opponents on the Ducks' schedule, with five of their first six Big Ten matches coming against ranked foes. UO is seeking to snap a four-match skid after falling to 26th-ranked UCLA and 18th-ranked USC at home last weekend.
Tilde Jagare, playing at No. 3 in the lineup, is off to an 8-1 start this spring to lead the team, while freshman Patsy Daughters is tied with Karin Young for the second-most singles wins at seven. Jagare and partner Juliet Santitto have earned four doubles wins this spring, with Daughters and Young matching that win total, all coming at the top spot in the doubles lineup.
So far this spring, Oregon boasts a 33-26 combined singles record to go with a 17-16 doubles mark. The Ducks have gone on to clinch the doubles points in seven of 13 matches this season.
Illinois has won four of its last six matches, including a 4-0 sweep of 58th-ranked Nebraska in its last outing. The Illini feature three singles players with at least five dual wins and two conference victories in Megan Heuser, Ariel Madatali and Kasia Treiber.
Northwestern enters the weekend winners of three of its last five matches, also sweeping the Cornhuskers and picking up a 4-3 win over No. 60 Minnesota. Sydney Pratt, playing up and down the Wildcat lineup, is 11-0 this spring while Nenna Feldman is 9-0.
Oregon and Illinois have met just three times previous, with the Ducks going 1-2 in those contests. UO claimed its only previous meeting with Northwestern, a 4-3 win in 2018.
