EUGENE, Ore. – A pair of ranked foes await the Oregon women's tennis team this weekend, as the Ducks visit No. 5 Michigan on Saturday (9 a.m. PT) and 58th-ranked Michigan State on Sunday (9 a.m. PT).

In their last outing, the Ducks nearly pulled off an upset of No. 21 Washington last Saturday. Tilde Jagare and Juliet Santitto each picked up singles victories in a 4-2 loss, as three of the six singles matches went to three sets. Jagare leads UO with 10 singles wins while Santitto has now won three straight matches at No. 6 in the lineup.
Freshman Patsy Daughters is second on the team with nine singles wins with senior Karin Young tallying seven. Jagare and Santitto have primarily played at the top doubles spot in the lineup, picking up five victories.
Ten of Oregon's first 11 Big Ten opponents have been ranked in the ITA's top 75, including both No. 5 Michigan and 58th-ranked Michigan State. The Wolverines enter Saturday's match riding an 11-match winning streak while boasting a perfect 8-0 home record this spring. Michigan State enters the weekend 8-2 at home this season, but having lost five of its last seven matches overall.
The Wolverines feature four singles players ranked in the top 75, led by Julie Fliegner who is ranked third nationally. U-M also features 35th-ranked Piper Charney, No. 41 Lily Jones and No. 75 Emily Sartz-Lunde. Jessica Bernales and Jones make up the nation's 23rd-ranked doubles tandem, while Barneles and Charney are ranked No. 29.
The Ducks have faced Michigan just three times in program history, going 0-3 with the last meeting occurring in the 2022 NCAA Tournament. UO and MSU will meet for the first time on Sunday.
