"I followed Coach Joyner from UC Davis and have so much faith in her to turn this program into a winning one, since that has been her trend with every other program she has been at. With the resources, coaching staff, and culture, this team will be unstoppable, and I am excited to become a part of it. Oregon has always been a place I was in awe about. "Vero is a fierce defender at the international level. We are excited to add her knowledge, air game, and defensive instinct to our program."
Verónica Navarrete Cevada on Oregon
"While the University of Oregon is very far away from home, I can strongly picture myself in its embodying campus. A place where the main interest is their student body and their aspirations, I see myself thriving in a competitive academic and athletic environment to become a leader in society. Besides that, its tightly knit community surrounded by the essence of athletics also becomes a crucial factor when connecting with those around you. As I dove deeper into that experience offered by UO, I was magnetized by the opportunities offered to student athletes that allow them to excel and grow according to their personal experiences and objectives."
