Ducks Head to Arizona for Red-Blue Invite

UO to face GCU, Denver and host Arizona this weekend.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women's tennis team takes its four-match winning streak to Tucson, Ariz., to take part in the Red-Blue Invite, where the Ducks will play three matches across two days against Grand Canyon, Denver and host Arizona at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Courts.
Oregon will play three matches across two days, beginning with a date with Grand Canyon on Friday. Following the match, UO will play a split dual match with Denver, with the doubles portion of the match taking place at 3 p.m. PT on Friday before concluding with singles matches Saturday morning at 7 a.m. PT. Later Saturday afternoon, the Ducks and Arizona will face off at 12:30 p.m. PT.

The Ducks ran their winning streak to four straight matches after a doubleheader sweep at the Student Tennis Center last Saturday, defeating both UC Riverside and Seattle U by identical 4-0 scores. UO remains unbeaten at home this spring at 6-0.
Through eight dual matches, UO has compiled a 29-4 overall singles record while its doubles teams are a combined 14-4. All six singles players in the Ducks' singles lineup boast winning records, including undefeated Bridget Mihulka (7-0) and Hinata Furutani (4-0).
Oregon's freshman doubles duo of Hadley Appling and Virginia Crocker are a team-best 5-0 so far this spring, playing every match at the third position. Furutani and Juliet Santitto are 3-1 and the top tandem of Tilde Jagare and Olivia Symons are 5-3.
Oregon and Grand Canyon will meet for the third time, and first time since 1990, with the Antelopes claiming both of the previous matchups. GCU has dropped two of its last three matches after a 6-1 loss at Auburn last Sunday.
Denver, the defending Summit League champion, started the season 5-0 before falling at BYU and Utah last weekend. The Pioneers are led by Louise Wikander, who is ranked 125th in the latest ITA singles rankings. The Ducks are 4-3 all-time against Denver, last playing during the 2024 season.
Former conference rivals, Oregon and Arizona will meet for the 33rd time on Saturday, as the Wildcats hold an 18-14 edge in the series. The Ducks defeated Arizona in their last trip to Tucson, coming away with a 4-1 victory during the 2023 spring season.
