Looking to come back from injury and join Brianne Theisen among Oregon's heptathlon corps. A prep national top-10 competitor in the heptathlon and the high jump. Washington all-classifications state champion in the heptathlon. Also the state runner-up in the high jump. Won 12 varsity letters in five different sports at Kent-Meridian High School.
2009-10: Outdoors - Opened season in the 100 meter hurdles, shot put and javelin at the Oregon Preview. Also saw action in the 100 hurdles at the Stanford Invitational before an injury ended her season. Indoors - Competed in the UW Indoor Preview and the Husky Classic in preparation for the pentathlon at the MPSF meet. At the MPSF Championships, overcame a disqualification in the 60 meter hurdles to post a season-best clearance of 5-8.5 in the high jump. That clearance tied for fourth all-time indoors at the University. Season Bests: Indoors - Pentathlon - 2,727 points, MPSF Championships, Seattle, Wash. (2/26/10); High Jump - 5-8.5/1.74m (PR), MPSF Championships pentathlon, Seattle, Wash. (2/26/10).
Prep: Won the Washington all-classifications state title in the heptathlon with 4,624 points as a senior in 2009. That mark ranked ninth nationally. Also took second in the high jump at the state meet (5-8) and was a state qualifier in the triple jump, shot put and 100 meter hurdles for Kent-Meridian High School. PR in the high jump of 5-10 at the West Central District meet was tied for 10th nationally. Was a four-time state qualifier in the high jump, a three-time qualifier in the 100 meter hurdles and a two-time qualifier in the triple jump. Was also an all-state selection in basketball her senior year. Named the Kent Reporters’ 2009 Female Athlete of the Year. Holds school records in the heptathlon, high jump, triple jump and javelin. Earned 12 varsity letters in five different sports (track, basketball, cross country, swimming, volleyball) and was a state qualifier in swimming. Ranked No. 10 in her graduating class with a grade point average of 3.898.
