Bio
2007: Great veteran leader is one of two seniors on the squad. Forward with a deft touch should play an important role in Oregon’s offense. Workhorse up top who understands the game’s tactics.
2006: After missing the first five games of the season due to ankle surgery, played in the final 15 games, making 14 starts. Third on the team with three goals and seven points. Attempted 17 shots. Scored the game-winner versus Eastern Washington -- just her second appearance of the season. Dramatic golden goal at Portland State with three minutes left in the second overtime. Assisted on Nicole Garbin’s game-winner at No. 24 Arizona. Scored Oregon’s final goal in 3-1 defeat of Washington. Named Pac-10 all-academic honorable mention.
2005: Played and started in all 19 games. Had one goal and a team-high three assists for five points on the season. Recorded an assist on Nicole Garbin’s second goal at Elon (2-0 win). Scored the game-winner in a 2-0 decision against South Dakota State. Assisted on Caitlin Gamble’s goals in back-to-back games against USC (2-1 loss) and Oregon State (4-2 loss). Ranked second on the squad with 32 shots. Fired a season-high six shots against South Dakota State.
Portland State: Played in 16 matches (eight starts) as a freshman to help the Vikings tie for the Big Sky regular season title. Team was 5-1-2 when she started. Attempted 12 shots, including two versus both Oregon State and Eastern Washington.
High School: Member of the Sheldon High School team that won the 2003 state title with a 17-0-2 record. Second team all-state and first team all Midwestern League as a senior. Second team all-league as a junior and first team her sophomore season. Helped lead Sheldon to three Midwestern League titles. Two-time offensive MVP. Also won four letters in track and one in basketball. Finished second in the state in the 300 hurdles. Club team, FC Willamette Posh won state title in 2002.
Personal: Born Tiffany Collette Smith on Nov. 9, 1985, in Eugene, Ore. Parents are Gary and Karen Smith. One brother and one sister. Majoring in education.
