Oregon to Host No. 21 Oklahoma State, SMU this Week

EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Oregon soccer team (1-0-0) will host a pair of matches this week when No. 21 Oklahoma State and SMU travel to the Pacific Northwest. The Ducks will face the Cowgirls (1-0-0) Friday at 7 p.m., and the Mustangs (1-0-0) Sunday at 1 p.m. in matches played at Pape' Field in Eugene.
The Ducks are coming off a 2-0 home win over Boise State in UO's season-opener last week. Both OSU and SMU won season-opening home matches last week. The Cowgirls were 1-0 victors over rival Oklahoma, while the Mustangs defeated Florida International by a score of 1-0.
UO is 0-1-0 against Oklahoma State, losing a 3-1 decision at then No. 12 OSU on October 5, 2008. Oregon is 0-1-0 in matches against SMU with the only meeting a 2-0 road loss on Sept. 21, 2003.

LAST TIME OUT: OREGON 2, BOISE STATE 0 - AUG. 20
Senior forward Jen Stoltenberg scored a goal and assisted on another in leading the Ducks to a 2-0 home win over Boise State last Friday. UO scored both goals in the first half, opening with Stoltenberg's in the 12th minute of play. Oregon added the second goal in the 37th minute, with Stoltenberg finding sophomore midfielder Tahne Apo for her first collegiate goal. Oregon out-shot the Broncos, 20-7, including a 12-3 advantage in shots on goal. Stoltenberg led all players with seven shots, five of which were on goal, in playing the full 90 minutes.
STOLTENBERG, MILES MAKING THEIR WAY UP CAREER CHARTS
Senior forward Jen Stoltenberg and junior goalkeeper Cody Miles are making their marks on the career charts at Oregon. Stoltenberg, a forward from Mission Viejo, Calif., ranks third all-time in career points (58), goals (22), assists (14), while ranking fourth in shots (160). Miles, a goalkeeper from Salem, Ore., is second in career shutouts (12), third in goalkeeper wins (19) and fifth in saves (125). Complete top 10 charts on page three of this release.
ERICKSON NEARING UO ALL-TIME WINS MARK
Head coach Tara Erickson is just two wins shy of breaking the school mark for coaching victories. Erickson has a six-year mark of 48-42-10 in her time with UO. The current record is held by former coach Bill Steffen who posted 49 victories in nine years as mentor.
DUCKS ADD FIVE PLAYERS TO 2010 ROSTER
Oregon added five newcomers to the roster this offseason. The Ducks welcomed transfers Lindsay Parlee and Mo Fitzgerald and prep players Achijah Berry, Brynne Konkel and Katie Kramer.

STOLTENBERG, LIBKE HONORED BY PAC-10
Midfielder Scout Libke was named to the 2009 Pac-10 All-Freshman Team and forward Jen Stoltenberg was once again named honorable mention all-conference last year as a junior.
Stoltenberg posted a UO single-season record of 26 points on 10 goals and six assists that season. She was also named honorable mention all-league following her sophomore season, where she tied the school record with 25 points on 10 goals and five assists.
Libke, from Portland, Ore., had 10 points on three goals and four assists in her first collegiate season at an influential position in the Oregon midfield. Libke became the second straight Oregon student-athlete to be recognized as one of the conference's best newcomers, as goalkeeper Cody Miles was selected to the all-freshman team last year.
ERICKSON WORKS WITH U.S. U-18 NATIONAL TEAM
Head coach Tara Erickson resumed her duties with the U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team earlier this year with a seven-day training camp at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The training camp ran Jan. 10-17, the first session for the team working under U.S head coach Dave Chesler.
Erickson was appointed to the U-18 coaching staff in early 2009. She coached at the U.S. Super Team Camp last January, working with both the U-20 and U-18 teams at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. Erickson also worked the U-18 Women's National Team Camps the following April and June at the Home Depot Center.
Both Erickson and sophomore forward Julie Armstrong participated in the U.S. Youth National Team Camp last July in Boulder, Colo., an event which featured both the Canadian and United States U-18 and U-20 Women's National Teams.
DUCKS WELL REPRESENTED ON PAC-10 ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS
The 2009 Pacific-10 Conference Women's Soccer All-Academic teams featured eight Oregon players. Senior defender Dani Oster (3.71 GPA, business administration) was named to the first team, while senior midfielder Adriana Montes (3.67, curriculum and teaching) and junior forward Jen Stoltenberg (3.58, business administration) received second team recognition.
Five other Oregon players received honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic recognition: senior Danielle Sweeney (Pleasanton, Calif.), juniors Kirstie Kuhns (Pleasanton, Calif.), Rianna Mansfield (Eugene, Ore.) and Mercedes Walters (Mission Viejo, Calif.) and sophomore Taylor Jones (Newport Beach, Calif.).
