Ducks to Play Neutral-Site Matches at OSU Tourney

EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Oregon soccer team (2-3-2) will play a pair of neutral-site matches this week at the Oregon State Nike Invitational. The Ducks will battle San Diego State (2-4-2) on Friday at 4:30 p.m. (PT) and Butler (2-4) on Sunday at 11 a.m. Both matches will be played at Paul Lorenz Field in Corvallis, Ore.
Friday: Oregon vs. San Diego State, 4:30 p.m. | Oregon State vs. Butler, 7 p.m.
Sunday: Butler vs. Oregon, 11 a.m. | Oregon State vs. San Diego State, 1:30 p.m.

DUCKS ARE PAC-10 CONFERENCE LEADERS IN SHOTS AND CORNERS
The Ducks rank atop the conference statistically in both shots taken (125) and corner kicks (40) through the first seven matches of 2010. Oregon has taken seven more shots than USC who ranks second, while they are tied with UCLA in corners.
Senior forward Jen Stoltenberg's 47 shots leads the Pac-10, five more than Christen Press of Stanford who ranks second.
ERICKSON TIES OREGON ALL-TIME COACHING WINS MARK
Head coach Tara Erickson recently tied the school mark for career coaching wins. Erickson has a six-year mark of 49-45-12 in her time with UO, tying her with Bill Steffen who posted 49 victories in nine years as mentor for the Ducks.

Senior forward Jen Stoltenberg was recently named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's College Players to Watch Top 100 Upperclass Women's Rankings. The Mission Viejo, Calif., product remains No. 37 (thru three weeks) on the website's listing, which is comprised of sophomores, juniors, and seniors only, and will be updated weekly.

Senior forward Jen Stoltenberg and junior goalkeeper Cody Miles are making their marks on the career charts at Oregon. Stoltenberg ranks second in shots (200), is tied for second all-time in assists (15), while ranking third in career points (63) and goals (24). Miles, from Salem, Ore., is second in career shutouts (12), third in goalkeeper wins (20) and fifth in saves (134).
LAST WEEK FOR THE DUCKS
Oregon lost a pair of matches at the UNLV Nike Classic last weekend, falling 1-0 to host team UNLV on Friday night before Sunday morning's 1-0 defeat to Kansas.
The Ducks lost to the Rebels despite out-shooting their opponent, 14-12. Oregon also maintained an 8-6 advantage in shots on goal and a lopsided margin in corner kicks, 8-3. The game-winning goal by UNLV's Sarah Naranjo came in the 79th minute. Junior goalkeeper Cody Miles had five saves, while senior forward Jen Stoltenberg led UO with eight shots, five on target.
In Sunday's loss, it was KU forward Emily Cressy who scored the game-winning goal in the 85th minute. Oregon managed to out-shoot its opponent for the fifth consecutive outing, nearly doubling the Jayhawks' shot total with a staggering 25-13 edge in overall shots and an 11-5 advantage in shots on target. The Ducks also dominated the corner kick opportunities, 5-1. Senior forward Jen Stoltenberg and sophomore midfielder Scout Libke combined to take over half the Ducks' shots with 14. Stoltenberg had four shots on goal, nine total, while four of Libke's five shots were on goal.
