EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon women's soccer team fell to the Portland Pilots Monday night at Papé Field by a lone goal.
The Ducks' record moves to 6-2-1 on the season.

Prior to tonight's goal, Hinriksdottir last gave up a goal in Oregon's game vs. Oregon State in the 2015 season.
How it Happened: At half, both teams went into the locker room locked nil-nil.
Oregon controlled the first 45 minutes, firing seven shots, while Portland had one. The Ducks had three corner kick opportunities.
Hinriksdottir made one save, a save that clinched her the school record in scoreless minutes in goal (391:07), while Portland made two key saves.
In the 61st minute, Alyssa Edenstrom scored the game-winning goal, her first off the season, with a header that sailed into the right corner. Her goal was assisted by Allison Wetherington.
The Pilots' lone goal was all they needed to solidify the victory.

Quotes: Head coach Kat Mertz –
On tonight's result…
"We're disappointed to have given up a goal, but we played some good soccer out there and created a lot of opportunities."
On where the team is going into conference play…
"We have to re-evaluate. We set a lot of goals for ourselves, so we'll go back and reassess them and set new ones heading into Pac-12 play. Because we don't have a conference tournament, we have to treat each game like a championship game."
Halla Hinriksdottir, Junior, Goalkeeper
On surpassing the school scoreless streak record…
"Having a record to my name is great. It's something that I can look back and tell my grandkids about, but right now it's all about how the team is doing."
On her confidence in goal…
"My confidence is definitely higher than it was last year. Having a season under my belt helps. I think after every single game, my confidence keeps increasing."
Looking Ahead: The Ducks will open Pac-12 conference play on Sept. 24, as they travel to face Stanford on the road. The team will return back to Eugene on Sept. 29 to host USC.
